National Bowel Cancer Screening Program Phase Three (July 2013 – June 2017) Policy Framework

The Phase Three Policy Framework reflects the agreed understanding between the Australian Government and state and territory governments for the ongoing implementation and operation of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.

Part one of the Policy Framework details National Bowel Cancer Screening Program policy including goals and objectives, program elements, monitoring and evaluation and key issues to be addressed in Phase Three.

Part two details program implementation, including governance structure and processes, and roles and responsibilities.

The Policy Framework is being revised to incorporate the implementation of biennial screening (from July 2015). Copies of the Phase Three Policy Framework will become available when it has been endorsed by relevant stakeholders.
